Expectations

Based on your concerns, the assigned counselor would provide you with practical behavioural intervention plans to help you change your mindset; eliminate unwanted behavior; develop new habits, and empower you to achieve short and long-term goals. There would be some homework to solidify newly learned behavior. Since each individual is unique, some individuals might experience a range of negative emotions during or after the session. The number of sessions varies depending on the situation and the individual.

Taking care of your body will make you more comfortable and increase your chances of having a healthy mind. Next, engage in good behaviors such as being kind to others, abstaining from drug and alcohol use and seeking professional help if you have an issue. A healthy mind also involves being compassionate towards yourself for achieving emotional wellness. Self-compassion is when someone is kind to themselves for their issues without judgment or malice towards themselves. It’s easier to improve your mental status this way instead of harsh words that only make things worse.
